Singapore - Day 1
Friday 16 September
We arrived around 8.30 at Changi Airport. An hour later than we had hoped but after a 16 hour journey we were just glad to have arrived. Collected our bags, grabed a bottle of champagne and jumped in a wonderfully air-conditioned taxi for a 20 minute ride to 22 Nassim Hill.
We were welcomed with a beer poolside which is the kind of reception I feel I should get everywhere I go. We exchanged the usual "how was your flight" stories and looked forward to the excitement ahead. e promptly got a tour of the apartment, dropped our bags and headed out for a drink in town to celebrate our arrival.

After a few drinks and Charlie's new addiction a Jager Bomb we decided to sign off the first night in Singers by going to the opening party of the World Wide Festival at the Zouk club.

With Gilles Peterson opening the World Wide Festival at the Zouk we couldn't really go wrong. Jetlag forgotten and a few more J Bombs we were quickly rocking to some amazing tunes at a truly awesome venue. Who would have thought that an enormous glass chandelier in the middle of a new age dance club would look so funky?!
