Probably my favourite kitchen in the neighbourhood.
With its classic décor and peaceful atmosphere it is a perfect setting to enjoy a simple but delicious meal for two. I have been here 3 times now and every time has been enjoyable. The first time I walked in there over a year ago I didn't think the Ledbury was going to be my type of restaurant, overpriced and decadent.
I was evidently way off.

The tasting menu is really special. The first time we went to the Ledbury we went for the tasting menu and we loved it. The sommelier is brilliant and chooses some amazing combinations. This seven course feast is seasonally adjusted.
If you are going to have the tasting menu make sure you have worked up a real appetite because eventhough the portions are the perfect size the meal does really fill you up, especially accompanied by all the amazing wine.

The atmosphere can get lively if the restaurant is full, but otherwise there is a comforting calm and peacefulness that stimulates intimate, personal conversation. Perfect if you just want to enjoy exquisitely prepared food and eachothers company. The interior design of the restaurant is straight line elegant with well placed mirrors and lighting. The staff is invisible except for when you don't want them to be which is so refreshing.

It's not hard to see why the Ledbury is so highly rated by the Michelin Restaurant Guide. I can really recommend the place for Dinner or Lunch on their terrace in the summer. We'll definitely be back soon.
