THE English summer starts with the first home test match.
Pimms, endless optimism and beautiful weather...
...yeah, not so much.
Anticipation, trepidation and a touch of nervous bravado usually sums up the overall demeanour of the English Cricket team at the start of the Summer. Like the first day of school, you just don't know what to expect. It could all end in tears and disillusionment or in exultant victory and splendid glory. The only thing you can rely on is that there will be rain!
