The Christening of Freddie and an Angry Quad Bike

Friday 13 July - Sunday 15 July

Friday evening drinks with the local village folk. To everybody's surprise it was raining....
A marquee kept us dry and litres of Pimm's kept the spirits up.

Saturday morning was all about party preparations. Sandwiches had to be made and drinks prepared. At 2pm Freddie was christened at the local Barton Stacey church. A lovely service which ended in Freddie getting wet. He didn't seem to mind too much though so that was a bonus. He will walk in the light!

After the church it was back to Dogwood cottage for drinks and food. The parents had put together a truly amazing spread of sandwiches, cheeses and all sorts.

More Pimm's, champagne and some Cubans....

The orange tie was a success and the paparazzi couldn't resist a few snaps so who am I to resist?

I also got involved in some papping of my own...

Then it was time to break in the 425cc quad bike. Brand spanking new and roaring to stretch it's legs!

...and then...
...we took it too far...

...and got everything stuck in the mud...

...and needed a real tractor to pull out the Chelsea tractor.

Nonetheless, the weekend was a grand. Hurray!
