Château St Julien D'Aille

 Wednesday 26 September

While on our holiday in the south of France we visited one of the oldest vineyards in the region, Château St Julien D'Aille. Situated in picturesque French surroundings Château St Julien dates back to ancient Roman times and since 1999 is owned by the Fleury Family.

Named after a Roman soldier (Julien) and getting its name from the river Aille running through the region the vineyard offers nearly 80 hectares of wine growing land! Hellloooooo!

Anyway, it offered us the opportunity to sample some of their best rosé as well as their award winning red wine...

...and subsequently purchase some!
